- Owner’s Story and Modification Philosophy
In October 2026, the APAxpo Foshan Auto Modification Expo will grandly open its doors. This year’s edition features the prestigious “Tianwang Car Appraisal Competition,” with a total prize pool of up to 100,000 RMB. Champions, runners-up, third-place winners, and the top 50 participating vehicles nationwide will all receive cash rewards and exclusive gifts. Among the many entries, a MINI F56 JCW stands out with its extreme semi-race modification approach. The owner acquired one of the last F56 JCW models in early 2023 and immediately established a direction balancing street and track use, ordering nearly 200,000 RMB worth of parts in the first batch. Over three years of continuous upgrades, the total investment has exceeded 500,000 RMB, far surpassing the vehicle’s original value, resulting in a truly unique performance machine.

Powertrain upgrades include an Eventuri intake, Forge intercooler and oil cooler, Snowtech intercooler piping and water injection system, paired with a Stage 2 ECU program delivering approximately 270 wheel horsepower. The exhaust system features an Armytrix mid-to-rear section and Mach5 straight-through downpipe. The chassis is equipped with OHLINS DFV coilovers, Boffin camber plates, Hardrace sway bar links, a Drexler limited-slip differential, and Giomic chassis reinforcement kit. Braking is handled by Brembo Pista FF6 calipers with enlarged rear rotors and Endless brake pads. The wheel setup consists of Advan GT wheels with custom color finish, Yokohama Advan A052 tires, and BONOSS titanium lug bolts, protected by Xpel paint protection film. The interior features Recaro RMS full carbon fiber bucket seats, KMP steering wheel, Sabelt four-point harness, and Par roll cage. The exterior showcases a Duell AG rear wing, nearly complete carbon fiber body components, and PIAA rally lights. The modifications were collaboratively completed by Shenzhen Autoyard, Shenzhen RHX, and Dongguan BBA, reflecting APAxpo’s nationwide network of 5,000 modification stores.
3.APAxpo Expo and Modification Culture Outlook
The owner notes that the car handles with exceptional precision, keeping pace with M Power vehicles on mountain roads. However, with tightening regulations, the car has only traveled less than 5,000 kilometers in over three years, prompting the owner to express hope for a more mature and gradually liberalized modification culture in China. APAxpo, based in the Guangdong-Hong Kong, China-Macao, China Greater Bay Area and covering the entire nation, is the most diverse professional modification exhibition in China, featuring performance cars, JDM, sports cars, and itasha. It comprehensively covers performance parts, wheels, suspension, vehicle wrapping, and new energy vehicle modifications. We cordially invite modification enthusiasts nationwide to gather in Foshan and witness the power and brilliance of modification culture.
