Traditional drift competitions focus on scoring and rankings; the Greater Bay Area All-Star DRIFT SOUL delivers a passionate celebration of the unity between driver and machine. Last year, we brought drifting down from the pedestal to Foshan. This year, it’s fully upgraded. Partnering with APAxpo and the drift experience center, we’ve assembled a lineup of “international superstars, top domestic drivers, female racers and internet-famous enthusiasts”. You won’t just watch white smoke with your eyes — you can sit in the passenger seat and get pressed into the seat by G-force.
Our core philosophy remains unchanged: “The essence of drifting is not burning tires to create smoke, but letting every ordinary person touch the curve of freedom.” But this year we go further. International rotor fanatics bring the beauty of rotary engines, veteran domestic judges return to the track, and the new generation demonstrates racing lines with thousand-horsepower and low-horsepower machines respectively. The experience center makes “passenger seat access” available via lottery, scheduled booking and lucky encounters.
- Mad Mike Whiddett | Global Icon of Rotary Drift
A New Zealander known in the community as “Mad Mike”, he boasts millions of followers on social media. He switched from extreme motocross to drifting in 2006. In 2009, he claimed the New Zealand Drift Championship with the Red Bull MADBUL Mazda RX-7 and rotary-powered RX-8. He later built the twin-turbo quad-rotor MX-5, the triple-rotor 20B McLaren P1 “MADMAC”, and a Lamborghini Huracán drift car. In 2026, he converted the 1986 March 87P F1 into the rotary drift car “FORMIDABUL”.
He makes his debut in China at this APA event as part of the “Super Player Crew”. He will not only deliver drift performances on site but also unveil Liabul, a creation he built for Chinese car enthusiasts. One line to describe him: Tires carving arcs, no translation needed.
Mad Mike’s MADBUL Mazda RX-7, a classic rotary drift machine. Decked in the iconic Red Bull livery, it boasts an overwhelming presence. It is a legendary race car in the global drift scene and a highlight exhibit at this APA Foshan Auto Salon.

She started out gaining popularity with motorcycle short videos and later became a genuine motorsports enthusiast. She performed stunts in Wuhu with an S2000 without a stunt double, executed mountain road drifting in Qinglong behind the wheel of a GT‑R, and did burnout stunts with fireworks attached in a closed venue. She bought an S13 with pop-up headlights and sent it to David DC Town in Shanghai for a “Little Devil” build. At this event, she serves as the “Drift Experience Officer” stationed at the drift zone, waiting for car fans to meet her on site.

A top professional drifting driver in China, Principal of Beijing Goldenport Motor School and founder of the GTDRIFT team, he is a benchmark for new energy vehicle drifting. He set the Guinness World Record for the fastest drift by a pure electric sports car at 213.523 km/h behind the wheel of the Hyper SSR. He is also the first Chinese driver to claim the highest solo run score in Japan’s FDJ. In 2024, he advanced to the top 16 at the FDJ Japan Round, marking one of the best results ever achieved by a Chinese driver. In domestic competitions, he has claimed the UDR Global Drift Series Championship, runner-up of the CDB City Battle, and third place at the CDC Chongqing Round.

Bilibili ID: Upspeed Sheng Jiacheng. He has been a Bilibili Top 100 Creator for three consecutive years, an automotive content creator with tens of millions of followers across platforms, a National Grade A circuit racer and Grade B drift driver, and a racer of Zongheng Racing Team. Originally a digital content creator, he switched to automotive content creation in 2019. His videos feature bold concepts, engaging hardcore knowledge, focusing on affordable car ownership, vehicle modification, track tests and automotive challenge experiments. Representative works: ① Grassroots Racing Project: heavily modifying a Peugeot 206 with a 10,000-yuan budget for track racing, helping ordinary people enjoy motorsports at low cost; ② Fun automotive experiments: returning home in an unfamiliar city without navigation, 100-million-yuan wind tunnel test, hand-building a filming car; ③ Filmed “Wuhu Grand Drift” with Ye Zhicheng, recreating drift shots from “Pegasus 2”; ④ Visiting celebrity vehicles. The BMW E46 drift car is the protagonist of the “Budget Drift Project”. It was a used car bought for 8,000 yuan and gradually modified into a drift race car. It is equipped with a 2JZ engine and a sequential gearbox, delivering 800 horsepower.

A professional Chinese drift driver and core member of the 441B.W. UPDRIFT team, Johnson is a contracted driver for Rydanz tires and one of China’s leading electric vehicle drift representatives. He is the champion of the CDGP China Drift Grand Prix. At the 2025 CDC Shangyou Event, he claimed both qualifying and chase race titles in the Rookie Class as well as the Elite Class championship, earning the Rookie Class Annual Championship and the Annual Outstanding Performance Driver award. His electric vehicle drift demonstration on the gravel road of the Twenty-Four Turns during the 2025 Guizhou Qinglong Village GT Final went viral online. He competed in the pure electric two-wheel drive drift category at the 2026 Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain 99-Bend Hill Climb, racing against Ye Zhicheng and Sheng Jiacheng. He delivers clean and stable driving movements with precise control of chase distances and solid expertise in electric vehicle drifting. He frequently tests domestic new-energy drift cars. He excels at circuit, mountain road and gravel drifting, taking part in both competitive races and stunt filming.

- Adaxi | Rayden 441 New Talent, AM Class Stable Performer
A young talent within Rayden 441 B.W.UPDRIFT rookie lineup, he is one of the new generation in the drifting community who “has online appeal as well as solid driving skills”. He secured 3rd place in qualifying and claimed the bronze medal in the main race of AM class at 2026 CDGP Ordos Station, establishing his footing in the low-power category with consistent performance. Rather than accumulating a long list of professional titles, he is more like an automotive content creator emerging from online communities, drawing the attention of motorsport fans with his daily training sessions and race footage. He is the kind of person who “can connect well online and drives steadily offline”.
Binbinzai made a grand appearance at this Foshan Show with his hand-modified Super A80, joining Mad Mike’s drifting session. This heavily modified race car built on the Toyota Supra A80 features fully upgraded powertrain and chassis. It hit the road for the very first time today, delivering its historic drifting debut. As the fruit of technical accumulation and the passionate spirit of car building, the Super A80 will ignite the audience’s excitement with the roar of screeching tires.
This year’s DRIFT SOUL is fully executed by Team 441B.W. Founded in Beijing in 2018, 441B.W. is rooted in JDM performance culture, with businesses covering an auto workshop, drift academy, premium catering and trendy cultural creations. The workshop is located at Yiche Goldenport Motor Park in Beijing, housing dozens of classic Japanese vehicles including R32–R35 GT-R, S13–S15, NSX, S2000, RX-7, Supra and AE86. It provides modification, maintenance and race vehicle support services. The drift academy sits at Goldenport Circuit, offering one-on-one coaching, national Class B drift license training, advanced safe driving courses for automotive manufacturers and pre-training on simulators. According to team information, all sessions are led by professional or championship-winning instructors. In recent years, the team has taken part in drift competitions such as CDGP, RDS and D1GP, and produced on-site drift content for brands including Xiaomi and Hyper. Projects in Qionghai, Guangzhou, Guizhou, Zhangjiajie and other locations have amassed over 275 million total views online, with multiple entries trending on Douyin and Bilibili. The team also produces drift short films and experience routes for celebrities and internet influencers, boasting integrated capabilities for event execution, passenger ride-along experiences and short video production.
