[Official Announcement] “Rotary Madman” Mad Mike’s first drift show in China! Model bundle tickets are now available!

Bang!!

Mad Mike is Coming

Mike Whiddett was born in Waikato, New Zealand, in 1981. In his early years, he competed in motocross, BMX and freestyle motocross, earning the nickname “Mad Mike” for his fearless style and frequent injuries. Around 2006, he shifted his focus to drifting — retaining the extreme thrill while benefiting from the protection of roll cages. Since then, the roar of rotary engines has become his signature.
He is a Red Bull-signed driver with long-term partnerships with Mazda and Toyo Tires. Major achievements: 2009 Formula Drift Asia Pacific and NZ Drift double champion; 2013 Gatebil World Powerslide champion; 2018 Formula Drift Japan champion; at the 2023 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, he set the fastest Mazda and fastest rotary-engine record for the course with a time of 10:34.980. He founded Red Bull Drift Shifters, Mad Mike Summer Bash and Drift FORCE, bringing drifting from racetracks into cities, mountain roads and tunnels, as well as video games and documentaries.
For motorsport fans worldwide, Mad Mike is more than just a driver. He turned rotary engines into a kind of legend, and made wide-body cars and tyre smoke an iconic visual.

We are pleased to announce that Mad Mike has entered into a long-term strategic partnership with INNO. Thanks to the joint efforts of INNO and APAxpo, Mad Mike will come to China for the first time as an INNO cooperating driver and meet Chinese fans at the APAxpo Foshan Auto Modification Show in October.

Exhibition Exclusive: Mysterious New Car + MADBUL

This popular classic Italian sports car is the debut exhibition-exclusive vehicle jointly created by INNO × Mad Mike × APAxpo. Built on the 308 platform and fitted with the LBWK (Liberty Walk) widebody kit, it is a deeply drift-modified European classic. Custom-made by Mad Mike specifically for Chinese car enthusiasts, the vehicle is still in the final modification phase. Its model and livery will be unveiled at the Foshan venue.

1:64 Exhibition Exclusive Model Package: 188 RMB (includes one APAxpo one-day ticket), available for online sale and on-site collection. The real car and model will debut in Foshan on the same day — a European widebody drift car never seen before in the model collecting community joins the collection lineup.
The real car races on the track, while the model takes shape in collectors’ hands — one soul, two forms. This is more than a simple collaboration of “driver + brand + exhibition”. It forms a complete chain from real racing cars to collectible models. Follow-up vehicle releases, event collaborations and limited-edition products will be announced progressively as the partnership moves forward.

From D/STANS to INNSTANS

D/STANS originated from a cultural experiment within the core community. It sharply identified the gap between the “static viewing” nature of diecast car model culture and the “dynamic expression” of streetwear culture, and put forward a pioneering concept: turning precisely scaled car models into wearable trend symbols.

Take the 1:64 GTR wearable model as an example. It is essentially an “identity token” — allowing passion for automobiles to move from display cabinets into daily outfits. D/STANS’s “stance” represents an attempt to turn niche fanaticism into a wearable statement.
The collaboration with INNO marks a pivotal turning point for the project as it evolves from a “cultural concept” into a “mature product”. What INNO brings is not only craftsmanship, but also a “model mindset” — the relentless pursuit of proportions, details and texture. This collaboration infuses INNO’s model-grade innovation standards into D/STANS’s wearable framework. It is more than a co-branding; it is an in-depth integration of two professional disciplines.

From Shawn Yue’s GTR R32, to the LBWK F40 and TMCS EVA Racing Pandem GR86 Unit-08, and then to the Mai Shiranui build by Need For Stance in Kunming — D/STANS is a product line that has been steadily embraced by car enthusiasts, pushing the boundaries of “stance culture” at every step.
At the end of August 2026, INNO completed its brand revamp: D/STANS graduated, and INNSTANS was born.
At the Foshan APAxpo in October 2026, the new brand INNSTANS was showcased alongside the INNO × MAD MIKE exhibition-exclusive series. On one side lay “model-grade craftsmanship × wearable stance”, while on the other was “rotor engines × drifting”. The former set new brand standards, and the latter brought it to Chinese car enthusiasts.
